LCD SLA Resin Printing

Resin 3D printing is an additive manufacturing process that uses UV light to cure a liquid resin. The process vertically slices a model into many layers and exposes each layer to UV light, setting the resin in the exposed area and building up the model.

The quality of the print is ultimately defined by the resolution of the LCD panel projecting the image so you get much finer detail in the print than you would using an FDM printer.

Because of the amazing detail, these printers are perfect for model making, figurines, cosplay or really small items. It is worth noting though that the parts are generally more brittle than an FDM printed part and the printing process can cause models to shrink slightly so it may not suit functional parts or parts where dimensional accuracy is critical.
